Still, they continued their friendship.
"These three friends will help you relax", Feden quoted Cosby as saying to Andrea Constand.
"I began slurring my words...."
Johnson told jurors Monday that Cosby used his fame and influence to pressure her to take a pill that made her feel "underwater" and unable to resist his advances. "I could see two of him". I was trying to get my legs to move - and the messages didn't get to them, " she said.
While on the stand, she said Cosby gave her a pill after asking her to visit him at his bungalow at Los Angeles' Hotel Bel-Air. When asked if she thought anything of it, the 44-year-old said, "No Not really".
On Tuesday, Cosby arrived at the Montgomery County courthouse with his spokesman, Andrew Wyatt. The entertainer is charged with three counts of aggravated indecent assault stemming from the sexual encounter, which the prosecution says was not consensual.
Andrea Constand has said Bill Cosby drugged and assaulted her in 2004 while she was working for Temple University's women's basketball team.
"The absence of Camille Cosby is noted, usually a person charged with a crime, their spouse comes to show support for them", said attorney Gloria Allred, who represents 33 Cosby accusers.
For about ten months, their friends with benefits relationship went well, until one faithful night. And, she said, her truth was to be at court and to be supportive. Johnson believes her subsequent firing came at Cosby's request.
Constand first came forward to police in 2005, telling officials in Cheltenham that a year prior in 2004, Cosby drugged and sexually assaulted her inside his home.
"Depressed. Sad", Dr. Patrice Sewell, a retired educator, said of her daughter, Kelly Johnson, who testified Monday that Cosby allegedly drugged and sexually assaulted her when she was the assistant of his agent at the William Morris talent agency. She made 53 calls to Cosby after the alleged assault, the lawyer said-why would she do that if he'd violated her?
Sewell advised her daughter to grab her purse and immediately report to human resources.
Ms Johnson is the only other accuser who will be permitted to testify.
According to Sewell, Johnson said that she went to the hotel for lunch with Cosby, and he greeted her at the door wearing a bathrobe and slippers. "We really related to that show", said Sewell, a retired educator with a PhD.
Back in 1997, Autumn was arrested for extortion when she demanded Bill Cosby pay her $24 million over claims he was her father.
Sewell waved aside the claim. "He was the biggest celebrity in the world at the time". It was sustained, and the judge told the jury that what they had just heard was stricken from the record. "It was just me".
Johnson told a similar story in 1996, when she gave sworn testimony in a deposition attached to a worker's compensation claim.
After a series of phone calls, Constand, who was then in her 30s, said the married Cosby began inviting her to dinner at his house and other events. That secret is one that Johnson, unbeknownst to her, shared with dozens of women, Constand included-and one that is becoming more public than ever in a trial that stands to even further reshape Cosby's deeply tarnished legacy.
While testifying today in Cosby's criminal trial, Miller recalled the details of that conversation.
Sewell testified that it wasn't long after what happened at the bungalow that Johnson was sacked from William Morris. Surely she knew acknowledging the calls would undermine the case against Cosby.
The defense has attacked Johnson's credibility over discrepancies in her accounts, including the year with which the incident occurred.
The defense team lectured the jury on the high burden of proof and warned them not to get distracted by his fame or by "finger-pointing". He also emphasized that during the deposition Johnson said the incident at the Bel Air Hotel took place in 1990, although she has since said multiple times it happened in 1996, shortly before she was sacked.
