Kevin Durant again impressed as the Golden State Warriors moved 2-0 ahead in the National Basketball Association final series against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

A year ago, an ill-advised punch to the groin area of LeBron James in Game 4 led to a Game 5 suspension. This time around KD and his Golden State Warriors look to have the upper hand as they lead the series 2-0 with Game 3 set to tip off Wednesday night.

But that Warriors team, which posted a record 73 wins in the 2015-16 season, were not as risky as the current squad due to the addition of four-times scoring champion Kevin Durant to an already formidable lineup. First is the fact that they haven't played a home game yet.

Those Golden State teams did not have Kevin Durant.

But from what I saw of the first two games in Oakland, the Cavaliers pretty much waved red flags and allowed the Warriors to race unimpeded into the lane for easy baskets.

Of course, the Warriors didn't have former NBA MVP Kevin Durant in their lineup last season, but sharp bettor Ron Boyles still expects the Cavaliers to start strong against Golden State in Game 3.

Last season's double blowout to start the series saw the Warriors overwhelm LeBron James with a team effort. The Cavs just don't have 132 points in them.

They hit the mark, winning 73 games. "We score more, but Klay still gets it going".

The Warriors have outscored Cleveland by 41 points through two games.

"I don't use that expression actually like we blew it", Kerr said on June 6. "And we're a full group when he's out here, so that means a lot".

"Well, yeah, then you guys are looking at getting swept". I know the offense gets most of the attention but our players, they work at it, collectively, individually. Slow the game down, keep the contest close, and then go for the kill at the end.

The result was a wide-open 3-point attempt directly above the left elbow, where Green is shooting 12-of-25 during the playoffs - a percentage over 15 points better than his regular season mark.

He was asked whether the team had "circled" a 16-0 playoff record, which they are two wins away from achieving.

"I want to win just as bad as they do and obviously they probably got a bad taste in their mouth after what happened last year and we had one in our mouth last year from what happened the year before", James said.

William Hill bettors also are loading up on Golden State (minus-3½) and over the total of 226½, sports book director Nick Bogdanovich said.

"I just felt like he was poised to come out and make some shots tonight, and he did", said Kerr, who returned to the bench after a six-week absence.

The first two games have shown a stark difference in depth.

A rebound late in the third quarter also enabled James to move level with Magic Johnson for the most triple-doubles in finals history (eight).

In last year's Finals, Irving averaged 30.0 points per game in the team's four wins and just 23.3 in the three losses.

Even though Korver finally got some shots to drop in Game 2, he knows he needs to play even better in Game 3.

But after being so close past year and falling short, the Warriors know how hard the next two will be. He later added: "We have won a lot of games playing the way we play, so we're not going to change". "No, it's not over".
