After months of speculation, a sell-out MAC collection and seven fragrances, the singer, who is known for her incredible beauty and fashion choices, confirmed a year ago that Fenty Beauty by Rihanna is officially happening.
And while the musician's skin-baring antics undoubtedly commanded attention, her makeup also proved to be a talking point.
Fenty Beauty, Rihanna's long-awaited new beauty line from LVMH, is finally here, and - as promised - pushes the singer's inclusivity message to high decibels: It includes 40 different shades of foundation.
In addition to the foundation and highlighter, expect to find a selection of brushes, a primer, blotting powder and a lip luminizer on one universal shade. "I am going to do what makes me feel happy, what I feel like doing".
In-depth product reviews haven't quite rolled in yet-the line literally launched hours ago-but it looks like we can expect one from none-other than popular Nigerian beauty blogger, Jackie Aina pretty soon.
To be fair, she's probably not the only one...
After two years of development and months of teasing, the "Wild Thoughts" singer dropped the makeup line, which features a ground-breaking 40 different shades.
"Rihanna, in partnership with Kendo Brands, a LVMH-owned beauty".
"It's important young girls know that it's okay to eat the things they like and that's why body shaming makes me so angry".
The inclusive collection accommodates a wide range of skin tones. There needs to be something for a really pale girl! I started talking myself out of spending money on new makeup. It's velvety and soft in texture, but not dusty, and the colors are unique. In 30 shades (20 matte and 10 shimmer), these cream-to-powder formulas are used to hide, contour and highlight and the hexagonal tubes are magnetised so you can snap your shades together (a lifesaver if you're forever rummaging in your handbag trying to locate your make-up). (This is what you see on Selena Forrest in the campaign video.) They also come in duos, with day and night options. "No matter how much you apply, it will never give you that blotchy glittery look, just super shimmery", Rihanna said.
