A recent teardown of the Apple iPhone 8 has revealed some of the key specifications of Apple's new iPhone lineup.

The first iPhone X hasn't been released as yet and we're already hearing rumors about its successor.

According to Engadget, the iPhone 8 is missing those vital components, so Apple is throttling speeds down to 400Mbps.

Last week it was confirmed that the Apple Watch 3 doesn't support global roaming, news which unlikely will go down well with the European Commission. The iPhone 6, which was released in 2015, nabbed 2% iOS market share during its first weekend, according to Localytics. Apple iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus are successors to the company's year 2016 iPhone models (iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus). It uses the new Apple A11 Bionic hexa-core chipset which promises to be much faster than Apple's previous-generation chips. "It's easy. Just trade in your eligible smartphone and then use the credit to lower the cost of a new iPhone", it said in a statement. Apart from a unique tarrif plan they have a terrific offer for iPhone 8 buyers.

For now, the component suppliers are said to ship parts that amount to 40% of the iPhone X components that were planned originally for the smartphone's production. In years past, whenever Apple has offered new iPhones on pre-order, they sell out of their initial stock in minutes.

Apple's worth remains immensely large despite the sudden decrease, even about US$100bn larger than Google's parent company, Alphabet. Analysts, however, acknowledge that shorter lines in front of the stores could be because customers are awaiting the iPhone X before making their final purchase. If you have the iPhone 7 or 7 Plus, like I do, and you want to upgrade, the X is the move to make. The higher replacement costs $$349 for the iPhone 8, and $399 for the iPhone 8 Plus.

Scandinavian flat pack furniture giant Ikea is offering a lamp with wireless charging embedded into it for filling the upcoming iPhone 8 handsets and the iPhone X with electrical juice. AAC Technologies Holdings, which relies on Apple for 47 per cent of it sales, slumped 6.7 per cent to HK$127.5.
