Instead of Braun Strowman getting fed jobbers, he's feasting on future Hall of Famers. Two matches where older top guys are battling younger versions of themselves. Both of them have now cleared their plate. Perhaps he'll take a nice long vacation, and when he returns, transition to an Undertaker type role, where he only shows up a few times a year, but each appearance is a major event.
"But what are the other matches?" I can't keep track anymore.
I think everyone hoped that the main event would save the night after two finishes that the crowd hated, but no such luck. There's no competition to challenge WWE and if the general public wants to watch professional wrestling then they will watch Raw.
The Mad King vs.
The biggest surprise (certainly not how it happened) of the night was Enzo Amore (dressed in a black-and-white-striped Beetlejuice suit) distracting the referee and low-blowing Neville to win the cruiserweight title. Developing its characters and building some decent storylines are two of those improvements. "I don't think anybody, whether they like me or they don't, I don't think anybody can argue that".
The match lived up to its hype as the champion was tossed around the ring like a rag doll by Strowman in their WrestleMania-caliber clash.
Neville has lost his championship for the second time in the last few months, and he looked more unsafe than ever the night after without his title around his waist.
The Eater of Worlds vs.
"Well, for years, everybody's said they couldn't see me".
Which is fine and all because I dig Bliss but bring on Asuka already! But Balor made a decision to fight on after Wyatt taunted him on the microphone by saying, "You ain't no demon, you ain't even a man". In our section, the floor was quite literally shaking from people stomping their feet and yelling in support for Finn when Bray was on offense. The question is, can he get over without the Demon?
At the same time, Cena did help make stars. This was a really fun bout and a fine example of what multi-women matches can deliver.
Women's Championship - Alexa Bliss (c) def. Bayley (via pinfall), Sasha Banks, Nia Jax and Emma to retain the title: This was car-wreck insanity at its finest with one physical spot after another.
Which of these matches are you looking forward to more?
The Empress of Tomorrow, Tonight?
WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar and his rival Braun Strowman got into a war of words Monday on Raw ahead of their match Sunday at No Mercy. The prevailing scuttlebutt from what I hear is that the WWE wants to put the strap on Nia and turn her into a monster type heel.
Of course, this could all change with one injury. Meanwhile, she can still talk. What they're doing with Enzo is still confusing, but him winning a singles title just three months after the breakup with Cass is surprising and a good sign for him, despite whatever heat he may be facing in the back. The Fatal 5-way will be solid, but with Asuka's impending debut, it's mostly just setting up her next victim. Then Sheamus went and gave Ambrose a Brogue Kick. Miz exited the ring until RAW General Manager Kurt Angle issued Miz will compete against Reigns later in the show, while Miztourage Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas wrestle against Jason Jordan and Matt Hardy, although the injured Jeff Hardy was ringside.
In the United Kingdom, you can pay £14.95 (or €21.95 in the ROI) for pay-per-view access to the stream via the Sky Box Office - this gives you access to either live or repeat viewing.
