Crazy ants have invaded Southern Florida and have made their way to the SLU campus.

We need to let everybody know, we need your help; this is something that can get really bad,” said Jose Caban, Director of Plant Operations. Caban wants staff and students to make sure they don’t leave any food out. “Ants are looking for any food, and if they find it, they are going to invade the area. If you see any ants, please contact plant operations” said Caban.

Uncertain future for Libya following Gadhafi’s Death

Muammar Muhammad Abu Minyar al-Gaddafi, better known as Muammar Gadhafi, the ousted dictator of Libya, was killed in a violent gun battle between the National Transition Council of Libya and supporters of the fallen regime. Muammar (also spelled Moammar) Gadhafi’s death brought an end to a forty-year reign of oppression and terror and ushered in unprecedented celebrations throughout the nation of Libya.

Early-voting shuffle could push republican primaries into december

The Florida Republican Party has decided  that they will move their 2012 presidential primary on Jan. 31 ahead of the Iowa primary, which is traditionally one of the first in the nation. This was followed up by Nevada declaring their primary for Jan. 14, as well as South Carolina rescheduling for Jan. 21, throwing the Republican Party into complete disarray.

Komen for the Cure movement has worked diligently to spread Breast Cancer Awareness to the masses and become the largest source of nonprofit organizations dedicated to the fight against breast cancer in the world. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and this year, organizations and students on Saint Leo University’s campus are joining in on the fight against breast cancer like never before; many events are taking place on campus in support of breast cancer awareness.

I Drank, Drove, Killed, & WE LOST!

On Thursday evening, September 29, 2011, placed on top of a trailer outside the Student Activities Building, was what used to be a Mazda 626. Renee Napier is the mother of Meagan Napier, who along with her best friend Lisa Jo Dickson, was killed in the Mazda by drunk driver Eric Smallridge. Napier tows the Mazda from school to school and has made it her mission to raise awareness of the danger of driving under the influence of alcohol, and to promote forgiveness and healing. Read more

A few days ago, I went to my Facebook page and saw that it was drastically changed….again .I liked the smart lists (lists that you can edit and place friends in).
