One day while shopping at American Eagle, I saw a winter hoodie that had fuzz in the hood. I had always wanted a hoodie with fuzz. “You won’t need that!” Ashleigh Curtis said.
“It won’t get that cold here!”
If only she knew.
As you all know Florida has been experiencing some very unusual weather. Many students said that they missed being home, but the one thing most students miss about their hometown was the weather. Oddly enough, students from New York and New Jersey didn’t have to leave over break to get the weather they wanted. Florida hit, on average, 35 degrees over Christmas break. Unfortunately, Florida did not have a decent amount of snow like both New York and New Jersey did over break. On December 19, the temperature dropped due to a massive blizzard. Not only did it hit New York, it also hit New Jersey, Washington D.C., most of New England, and parts of Canada.
Many Floridians stated that although they like the nice warm weather, it is nice to feel a change once in a while. As for the chance of snow, the state was cut in half. Some Floridians wanted it and some didn’t. “If it’s going to get this cold, we should at least have snow” says Rachel Oliva from central Florida. All in all, we Floridians enjoyed this nice change of weather. It was a chance to bring out our heavy clothes, or go shopping if we didn’t have any.
